Official DarkMode

Problem is that I don't like modding my PVE. Not that it would be difficult to do, but the problems this might cause when PVE packages are updated...
Take the modification as an example that removes the "nag" popup when logging into Proxmox products without a enterprise repo. This already broke things.

So I will personally stick with a white PVE until dark mode is officially supported.

Another vote for a dark mode, its a bit ridiculous that its still not been implemented years later when there is an obvious community effort people are a fan of

What about this workaround?

Dark mode PBS

https://github.com/Luckyvb/PBSDiscordDark

Installation (as root)

The installation is done via the CLI utility. Run the following commands on the PVE node serving the Web UI:

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Luckyvb/PBSDiscordDark/master/PBSDiscordDark.sh

bash PBSDiscordDark.sh install

Or this oneliner

bash <(curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Luckyvb/PBSDiscordDark/master/PBSDiscordDark.sh ) install

Uninstallation

To uninstall the theme, simply run the utility with the uninstall command.

Yes... PBS discord dark (which I reffered to as discord dark in the previous post)...
Works very well... But i'd never use this on a production server, neither will I use ''Dark reader'' in any production environment.

But yeah, these guys pulled it off, makes you wonder what Proxmox is waiting for.

The Weilbyte github dark theme stopped working on version 7.3. Currently, it indeed says it's up to version 7.2 though. I wish Proxmox can make it official in the settings perhaps.

I'm afraid this too stopped working for the latest proxmox version 7.3 :(

+1!

I would never install or modify any of my production PVE or PBS. Dont want to deal with anything that may break on updates/upgrades, not to speak about any security, dataloss or compliance implications.

We should also add our "+1" in the bugzilla request. I'm pretty sure that it will get more attention thant just upvoting a post in the forum:

https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2961

Of course the 7.3 was released yesterday. Perhaps giving some time to the creator could be a good way.. as it's also made for free in his free time. I will just check in december. But indeed, having the option in prox could be nice.

Apparently the newest UPDATES to Proxmox 7 broke this. I have been running this DARK MODE for months. Last night I ran a check for updates and installed them - then then rebooted as I usually do.

I normally just have to issue this line in SHELL once rebooted --- bash PBSDiscordDark.sh install

and then refresh my browser - and the screen goes back to DARK MODE. I have run the command 5 times now, and nothing.

```
root@proxmox:~# bash PBSDiscordDark.sh install
Of course it's an opensource code, you did check all the line of code before applying to your system ? For sure for a test bench system, we can install anything and just disconnect internet.
