I can't format my hard drive in proxmox. It gives an error (file attached below). The latest current version of the proxmox update has been installed. But when running in Windows 10 through the disk management partition, formatting in ntfs format works correctly. Files on the disk run without any problems
Forming a 10Tb WD Ultrastar DC HC330 hard drive (part: 0B42266 and 0B42305) in Proxmox does not work, but ,in Windows10 formatting works.

An I/O error is an I/O error. You will probably receive an error in any OS when you hit the right block on the device. May be you even did hit it already, have you examined your EventLog?

Hi hdd new and working 15h. in windows full working no errors, but proxmox can t use it.
It might help if you repartition the drive (losing all data) and start the first/only partition on sector 2048 instead of 1.
Try GParted Live: https://gparted.org/livecd.php . Maybe it can fix the partition alignment without wiping all data.
