Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of setting up a new Proxmox VE deployment and I have a few questions. My servers come with multiple 10GB and 1GB ports. I've read that the Proxmox documentation frequently recommends using dedicated physical links for the cluster network due to latency sensitivity. However, I'd prefer not to maintain separate 1GB connections solely for the cluster network.
Does anyone have experience or recommendations for placing the cluster network on the 10GB ports, sharing with other traffic (including VM and NFS storage) and separated by VLANs? In addition to this setup, I'm considering adding a SATA 6GBPS SSD/1.92TB-MU-2.5Inch for improved performance.
Based on my current VMware environment, it's unlikely that the 10GB will be saturated or introduce high latency due to other loads. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
