Proxmox 4 Backup NFS Error!

Hi,

I have an nfs from my server hoster. in the proxmox webinterface under the point storage i add a new storage "nfs". everythink is working fine. the storage is mounted and i can see it in the webinterface.

now i started a backup job, but the backupjob have errors:

INFO: "....." failed: Operation not permitted (1)

so how can i fix this error? in other forums i read some stuff like "no_root_squash etc.". but how can i edit this settings in my proxmox webinterface. i would be nice if someone can help me. because proxmox have a function to mount or link nfs storages.

Are you sure you have the NFS shared storage set for backups? Also, check your permissions.

Yes NFS share is set for Backup via Interface. Checked configuration

Any idea to fix this issue? i check all configurations. in the proxmox webinterface i mount the nfs storage correct. but if i start a backup job i have this error message: INFO: "....." failed: Operation not permitted (1)

Hi,

I think you problem is that you have not the correct settings on the NFS Server side.
As you wrote PVE need no_root_squash, but this is a server side setting and not a client setting.
So you have to ask you hoster what he use as settings for the NFS exports.
