I am trying to get my 10G NIC to show on the PVE.

however I only have one, the onboard 1G connection.

root@pve:~# ip addr 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000 link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever inet6 ::1/128 scope host noprefixroute valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever 2: eno1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast master vmbr0 state UP group default qlen 1000 link/ether 74:d4:35:fa:a3:50 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff altname enp0s25 3: vmbr0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UP group default qlen 1000 link/ether 74:d4:35:fa:a3:50 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff inet 10.0.0.155/24 scope global vmbr0 valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever inet6 fe80::76d4:35ff:fefa:a350/64 scope link valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever

When i try to check the devices all I get is this.

root@pve:~# /etc/network/interfaces -bash: /etc/network/interfaces: Permission denied

Any suggestions

Hi,

I would check if the NIC is seating in the PCIe slot correct, and check the dmesg output for anything related to that NIC `dmesg | grep -i ethernet`.

What is the Proxmox VE version are you using? could you please post the output of `pveversion -v` command?

Lastly, I would check to boot from the older pve-kernel.
