LXC mount options / trim

Hey.

is it possible to add a mount option like discard to an LXC RAW storage?

If not, is it save to use something like that to trim runnings VMs from the Host-Os:

fstrim /proc/<PID of LXC init process>/root

I like to see this so I can control the barriers setting for some containers as that's where people are seeing huge increases in IO waits when using servers without battery / flash based RAID controllers. compared to Proxmox 3.
