Hallo zusammen,
seit einiger Zeit ist mir aufgefallen, das der Arbeitsspeicherverbrauch des Hostsystemes extrem hoch ist.
Angaben zum System:
CPU: i5 6400T
RAM: 20GB DDR4
2x 256GB SSD (Raid1)
1x 2TB HDD (Backup Space der LXC Container - Raid ersetzt nun einmal kein Backup)
Ich habe aktuell die...
Hi all,
The problem is that after a fresh boot the Win10 loads and loads more RAM until about 98%. Then the system still runs stable but the VM is wasting huge RAM that I want to share with other VMS by ballooning.
Here is my system:
Proxmox VE 8.1.3
64GB RAM
VM:
Win 10 Enterprise 22H2
VirtIO...
I observe significant differences in resource usage between my VM (Ubuntu 22) and the information provided by Proxmox 8.3.1. Does anyone have an idea for troubleshooting?

I’m currently running a Proxmox PC with 16GB of RAM. This system hosts 2 VMs and 1 LXC.
VM-1: This VM is allocated 6GB of RAM and runs Jellyfin along with other ARR projects.
VM-2: This VM is allocated 10GB of RAM and is used for a Minecraft server. Note that the Minecraft server is assigned...
Whenever I allocate minimum memory to a vm the vm starts to consume all of its ram even when idle but when i check host the host is freeing up ram so ballooning works normal. But the problem is with vm, that when it consumes 98% of ram i cant carry out any work in it since apps crash due to no...
Hello,
On a proxmox cluster I have glusterfs mounts whose fuse process takes me more than 50% of the node's memory until causing an OOM Kill.
How to free this RAM without rebooting and without waiting for an OOM Kill?
Thanks for your help,
Marc

Dear,
I installed proxmox on a dedicated server with 128Gb RAM. After a couple days a saw that my RAM was filled over 60% (almost 70%) with only 3 VMS each 4GB. Therefore I was searching on the internet and read that ZFS uses 'free' RAM to cache. I was wondering if this is a static behaviour...
Hello for everyone, I have an standalone node with 380 GB RAM and CPU usage is normal, 20 CT and 15 VM with Promox 6.3.6, I don't have IO delay. I just now I'm trying to configure a new CT, but I found that the container doesn't have SWAP memory (I did that setup with 2 Gb) so when I start to...
