Hello,
This is our installation:
- 3 Supermicro servers (https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/chassis/2U/825/SC825TQ-R720LPB)
- Each server has two 4TB Western Digital Red HDD disks.
- We use Ceph for which we have a 10G fiber optic network with a cisco switch.
We are new with proxmox/ceph and the thing is that from a while ago we noticed, especially in the windows VMs, that the performance is not optimal, so we want to improve our installation. How do you recommend to do it?
We have seen that people do ssd cache but I also see that people mount ceph on ssd disks. maybe that is the direction to take? migrate from hdd to ssd?
Is it worth it?
And the migration in ceph from hdd to sdd, how is it done?
thanks in advance
