A quick internet search shows nothing about this, so might just be a randomly generated string of letters. If you think the VM was compromised, the best course of action is to re-create the VM from scratch, re-obtain the image used to create it from somewhere safe, check logs and keep an eye out for anything else that might be amiss in other VMs and on your host/cluster too.
