proxmox backup issue

Hi,

While taking the backup in the proxmox, it shows the below error.

ERROR: Backup of VM 10655 failed - VM 10655 qmp command 'backup' failed - backup connect failed: command error: backup owner check failed (admin@pbs != root@pam)
====

Anyone please advise on this.

Hi,

It looks like the user configured to make the backup is "admin@pbs", but the backup group owner in PBS is actually "root@pam". The owner of the group has to match the one that is currently trying to create a new backup. You can change the owner of a backup group by navigating to Datastore > $datastore_name > Content and selecting the group at issue. In the "Actions" column there should be a person symbol, by clicking it you can change the owner of the backup group.
