New server install

Greetings all!

Any suggestions for our new server install?

We just ordered two refurbed Dell 620 servers. Here's their stats:

Dual Intel E5-2690 V2 3.0GHz 10-Core
256GB DDR3 ( 16x16GB 12800R )
Mini H310 Raid Controller (Flashed to HBA mode)
iDRAC 7 Enterprise with license
10GB SPF+dual 1gigE
2x SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO USB 3.2 Solid State Flash Drive (For Proxmox system only) RAID 1
6x Crucial MX500 1TB SSD (Planning for ZFS RAID 10 for VMs)

Planning on PVE 7 and buying subscription.

Each server is going to host multiple Windows 10 VMs and a few Linux VMs. VMs to be hosted on SSD ZFS.

Planning on splitting VMs equally between hosts. Want to use Replication. 10GigE backbone.

Have TrueNAS on another server. TrueNAS for storing data and Proxmox backups.

I'm open to all useful suggestions.

Hi,
if you are going for real HA I would recommend to get at least a third node and use CEPH.
If you put 2 nodes into a cluster and one goes down, your cluster will fail cause there is no vote majority anymore.
