IOMMU setup problems

Hello, ProxMox community,

The problem

I have recently purchased a Converged Network Adapter (NIC) Intel 82576, and I am having problems setting this up. When I start up Proxmox, the computer isn't connecting to the internet. When I am in the BIOS, the NIC lights up as it's receiving data but once Proxmox launches, I have no access.

The Specs of the computer

OS: Proxmox 7.1

Mother board: MSI Z87-G41

Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K

My network setup
I have my switch connected to an ethernet cable which is then connected to the NIC on the computer.

Stuff I have done

I have installed the NIC on the PCI express and have followed the steps to configure IOMMU on proxmox.

I have configured my motherboard to enable Intel Virtualization Tech.

Is there a crucial step I am missing?

in general do you have a DHCP server running in your network or do you have assigned a static IP address including a gateway to your Proxmox server?
