How to migrate VMs from VMware Esxi to Proxmox?

Hi,
I need some help,
I want to migrate many servers from VMware Esxi to Proxmox, but I have obstacles for the migration such as VMs on Esxi must be shut down first.

Is there a way to migrate VMs from Esxi to Proxmox without having to shut down the original VM first, can it be said that it is almost the same as the replication method from Esxi to Proxmox or easier? because I want to migrate a lot of VMs on Esxi and want to use Proxmox.
this is my first time using Proxmox

Not if you care about your data. IMHO, no software on the planet it capable of doing that on its own. If the guest OS can do that, maybe look into that. Everything else is just "crash consistent", which may be ok for you, but it's not OK for me.

I would say that the only way to do it is not even in a guest OS, but rather at application level. With each application requiring its own plan.

Other than that, create a PVE environment, do a test export of your VMs, that should be possible live. Work out a step-by-step procedure that imports the VMs. Make sure they boot and work as expected. This may require isolated network that mimics production.
Then schedule an appropriate window and if your procedure is good - the chance of failure will be reduced.
