[SOLVED] How can one update an LXC container distro?

This sounds like a newbie question and, well, indeed it is

Basically, I am trying to figure out how do I "update" a Debian container. If it were a KVM installation, I'd do the usual change of /etc/apt/sources and then apt-get update/dist-upgrade etc. I don't know what's the right thing to do with templates. Do I also do the same thing? Something else entirely?

Any help will be appreciated.
