error trying to take snapshot

i am using pve-manager 6.1-8, proxmox-ve 6.1-2, qemu-server 6.1-7, pve-qemu-kvm 4.1.1-4
whenever i try and take a back up when the machine is running i get the following:
task error: vm * qmp command 'savevm-start' failed - the command savevm-start has not been found
and indeed when checking out what command i am able to run in qm monitor with help, some savevm commands are missing, what coiuld be the cause for this?

Hi,

what says if you enter the monitor mode qm monitor <VMID> and type savevm-start or savevm-end?

and I suggest you upgrade your node to PVE 6.3.x that we added more features and fixed some bugs
