Alder Lake GVT-d integrated graphics passthrough

I can't get the igpu to output anything too. It only works with ubuntu. What I noticed: With IGPU Passthrough you won't see the bios/uefi screen in windows / ubuntu booting. The Display will only show something, when ubuntu loads (probably loading the driver or it resets something on boot up? idk maybe someone know how the gpu is initialized under ubuntu). When I passthrough a dedicated gpu (Nvidia 3060ti) it will also show the bios/uefi screen (and works in windows).
So I guess it has something to do with seabios / OVMF or maybe also q35 / i440fx not initializing the igpu correctly.

i just tried GVT with my device: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Alder Lake-N [UHD Graphics]
But i get the message: [drm] Unsupported device. GVT-g is disabled

Do i need to set something in the BIOS? My understanding is that it should work with Alder Lake..
 
Hello all,

I'm looking to switch to an Intel 12500T system for Proxmox and I'm googling, being told it's extremely difficult to get working with Plex.
Has *anyone* got this working yet? I'd love to know.

I got it working on a i5-7500T and it was quite difficult to get it working but I not only got it working, I got it working through docker, inside an LXC. It's a lovely little low resource usage system.


Can the same be done with Alder Lake?
