Hi folks,
probably a no but is there a way to assign 0.5 of a hypervisor core and present as 1 vCPU? So something like an e2-small if you are familiar with google cloud.
I can see a way of doing this the other way around, but not this way.
Thanks
Hi,
i made a multipath config file in the end and that seems to work nicely. I couldnt get it to pick it up automagically like the previous versions.
If you are using a 3PAR, Il happily share the conf file
Hi,
we have several clusters and use a HPE 3PAR SAN.
On versions below 5 the paths are setup without issue when I run rescan-scsi-bus etc but on version 5 this doesnt work and the 3PAR virtual volumes can be seen but wont be mounted via mapper.
Two questions,
1 - Did anything change in the way...
Hi,
you will need to run gparted or the like over the newly increased virtual disk to enlarge the partition. The web GUI just resizes the virtual disk.

Hi,
I am running 2.6.32-14-pve and apt-get dist-upgrade does not offer an upgrade to the -19 kernel, although apt-cache search does. Is this an issue with your package server or something else?

Hi Tom,
thanks for the update. I have edited /etc/vz/vz.conf and changed VIRTUOZZO=yes to VIRTUOZZO=no. After the reboot, HP data protector now seems to connect :)
Hi,
a little further information...
If I install the same software on proxmox 1.9, using a non-openvz kernel this works perfectly. I am presuming this problem is caused by something added in by openvz.
Is there a KVM only kernel for proxmox 2.1?
Thanks
Hi,
we have just built a new platform using HP blades and proxmox 2.1 and have now come to install HP data protector. When the software is installed on a vanilla squeeze machine, it works fine but on proxmox it fails to let anything connect via xinetd. Does the KVM kernel change the way anything...
Hi Tom,
it was just the basic 1.9 install. Sorry I havent got any further info on the panics really as I had to sort it there and then, as I did tonight. It either kernel panicked or got soft CPU lockups which caused massive problems and delays in the actual machine booting/building.
Not really...
Hi,
not sure if this is just me but I have noticed a lot of kernel panic problems using prox 1.9
We have proxmox in production running about 200 VMs without issue and I built a new dev box for our guys. The new box is using AMDs, 24 cores and 64gb of RAM and now every VM that is built using more...
Hi,
what I mean is I am migrating a centos VM from VMW to proxmox and it is currently running the flexible adaptor. If a box is using the E1000, it just works(tm) but this adaptor doesnt seem to have an equivalent.
Are you saying a centos VM previously using flexible will work correctly using...
Hi all,
has anyone got a centos box using vmwares flexible NIC driver working?
Ive tried moving a few over but cant see the equivalent driver in proxmox
Any ideas? or Im going to have to hack the E1000 driver on all these machine - and thats just plain upsetting :)
