Hi,
we have just built a new platform using HP blades and proxmox 2.1 and have now come to install HP data protector. When the software is installed on a vanilla squeeze machine, it works fine but on proxmox it fails to let anything connect via xinetd. Does the KVM kernel change the way anything might be handled?

Thanks

Hi,
a little further information...
If I install the same software on proxmox 1.9, using a non-openvz kernel this works perfectly. I am presuming this problem is caused by something added in by openvz.
Is there a KVM only kernel for proxmox 2.1?

Thanks

no, there is only one Proxmox VE kernel, based on RHEL63. So I am quite sure that you can figure it out. btw, we just released 2.2 with newest kernel.

Hi Tom,
thanks for the update. I have edited /etc/vz/vz.conf and changed VIRTUOZZO=yes to VIRTUOZZO=no. After the reboot, HP data protector now seems to connect :)
