Hi all,
has anyone got a centos box using vmwares flexible NIC driver working?
Ive tried moving a few over but cant see the equivalent driver in proxmox

Any ideas? or Im going to have to hack the E1000 driver on all these machine - and thats just plain upsetting :)

use virtio drivers for centos KVM guests. a vmware driver will not help here.

Hi,
what I mean is I am migrating a centos VM from VMW to proxmox and it is currently running the flexible adaptor. If a box is using the E1000, it just works(tm) but this adaptor doesnt seem to have an equivalent.
Are you saying a centos VM previously using flexible will work correctly using the virtio NIC drivers?
Thanks

The Linux kernel includes drivers for virtio, so it should work. Make sure you set the same MAC for the virtio nic, could help to prevent network issues.
