Scenario: Zimbra mail server behind Proxmox Mail Gateway in a LAN with two Internet connections in load balancing mode.
In this case the VM running the Proxmox Mail Gateway must have two NICs, one with public IP from the first ISP and one with public IP from the second ISP. And these IP must be...
I have read some posts on how to replace a bad disk of a ZFS mirror. But I have to work on an up and running production system, so I can't make any mistakes. This is my first time doing this, so I'm asking for help.
The damaged disk has already been replaced and the current state of Proxmox's...

I have a single (no cluster) Proxmox server running for several months.
Yesterday, virtual machines running on this server became unreachable.
This morning I checked the problem: everything seems ok, but the server has lost its configuration: Vms, storage and NIC.
Can someone con help me to...
I'm trying to install Proxmox 5.2. The server (currently running Proxmox 2.3) has an Intel MB with RS2BL040 RAID Controller.

Thanks.
During installation of Windows Server 2012 R2 with update x64 (directly downloaded from MSDN) Proxmox doesn't recognize the Hard disk:

I tried to configuring the HD both as VirtIO and SCSI.

I would like to use an USB SSD as PVE storage for VM.
I would like to encrypt the SSD (decrypt the entire disk when mount and encrypt it when umount).
Is it possible?
TIA
I would like to use a RS815+ Synology NAS as iSCSI storage.
I configured the NAS with 2 volumes:
disks 1,2 on RAID1 for data (shared folders)
disks 3,4 on RAID1 for backup
Now I have to create a iSCSI LUN to use as PVE storage.
Synology NAS currently supports this types of iSCSI LUNs.

I'm trying to install Proxmox 4.4 in this appliance.
I plug the iso image on a Verbatim USB stick using dd command (as wiki says).
The problem is that the appliance doesn't boot from this USB stick (but it boots from another Verbatim USB with another SO).
What could be the problem?

Hi all.
I have a Proxmox 3.4 server with VM's in a NAS iSCSI/LVM storage and backups in a NAS NFS storage.
The server was installed on a single disk, so I would like to do this:
backup Proxmox configuration
replace the HD with two new SSD (RAID1)
install Proxmox (same version)
restore Proxmox...
Hi all.
I spent a lot of time on this question, without finding an answer.
In Proxmox 3.4 If I have several iSCSI and LVM storage, how can I know which one of the iSCI storage is related to a specific LVM?
Thanks for your help.
If I correctly understand, when I create a LVM storage I select a iSCSI LUN as "Base Volume" and Proxmox links this LUN to a Volume Group.
My problem is that I don't remember in which iSCSI LUN a VG are stored.
pvs command show me the PV, but not the iSCSI targer or even LUN.
How can I check...

For some reasons my LVM storage was not related to the ISCSI connection in my qnap server.
So, from the web interface I deleted the LVM and ISCSI storage.
Then I recreated the ISCSI connection but when I try to recreate the LVM connection I had this error:

I have a server with Proxmox 3.4 and a brand new one with 4.0.
I have my VM in a iSCSI LVM partition of my Qnap NAS.
I'm planning to migrate my VM in this simply manner:
- disconnecting the LVM from 3.4 machine
- connecting the LVM on the 4.0 machine
Is this process correct or may VM have...
I've moved some disks from a LVM storage to another.
After moving a disk I obtain an unused disk and I manually remove it.
But I'm not able to remove one, or to better say: the disk was deleted from the LVM storage but not from the "Hardware" list of the vm (see attachment).
Thank for yours help.
