Proxmox 5.2 install error (print_req_error: I/O error, dev sr0)

I'm trying to install Proxmox 5.2. The server (currently running Proxmox 2.3) has a Intel MB with RS2BL040 RAID Controller.

Attached screenshot shows what happen booting from CDROMin debug mode (no way to boot from USB).

Any suggestion to solve the problem?

Looks like either:
* The iso-image is damaged (verify the sha256sum from https://www.proxmox.com/en/downloads/item/proxmox-ve-5-2-iso-installer)
* The burned disk is damaged (you could read the whole disk with dd and then compare again with the sha256sum)
* the cd-drive has a problem (take a look at the dmesg output while the problem occurs)
