Hi guys,
I got new hardware for my home server environment this weekend.
I reinstalled the current version of Proxmox and was able to restore almost all backups. However, I am encountering problems with one, as my setup has changed slightly.
In my last environment, I had a USB drive plugged...
I have the same problem on proxmox 7. I just reinstalled two nodes, one with proxmox 7 and one with 6.
On 6, my machine has a network card and on 7 it does not. I have no VLANs, and changed nothing from the basic install. I tried different virtio versions, but the result is always the same...
I think the problem is solved! I reinstalled both nodes and all of a sudden the router showed the original MAC address again.... As it seems to me, Proxmox generates a second card with a different MAC address during the installation (possibly under the new version?). This one I will probably...
I reinstalled it, and updated both nodes with the current updates. With the gui first, and then with the command line.
I tried "apt update -y && apt upgrade -y && apt dist-upgrade -y && apt autoremove -y", on both nodes, restartet, but perl is still version 7.0-7 on both nodes. Not released yet...
Hi, I reinstalled my servers yesterday with Proxmox 7.0.8, and now they are acting a bit weird.
My preparation for the update was to update all virtual machines and Proxmox to the latest version. Then I pulled backups and shut down the servers.
After the installation, I just made a cluster with...
Hi Guys,
I have a few VMs running on my main server that I would like to back up. For this I got a second, weaker Intel NUC, on which I also installed Proxmox and connected an external USB hard drive for backups.
This NUC should only serve as storage space a small NAS that I need for other...
I have the same problem with an external USB Drive, which is connected to a sever and it should serve as Backup drive for both servers.
On the one, where it is attached directly I can access the Backup section on the other one I am getting the error message.
Hi guys,
I recently bought a server on which I run Proxmox for virtualization.
First I installed Proxmox directly on my 1TB SSD, but then realized that I was losing almost 100GB for the "local" partition, but I wanted to use the fast SSD storage for the "local-lvm", i.e. the VMs themselves...
