According to the articles below, ZFS on Linux 0.7.7 has a disappearing file bug, and it is not recommended to be installed in a production environment:

My test Proxmox box that's running PVE 5.1 just updated to ZFS 0.7.7 from the pve-no-subscription repository, so anyone without an enterprise subscription is at the risk of data loss! (I'm not sure if the update has reached the enterprise repo as well or not.)
Everyone is advised to revert to ZFS 0.7.6, hopefully Proxmox developers will remove this ZFS version quickly and publish instructions to downgrade to the previous version until 0.7.8 becomes available.
