We just moved a bunch of packages to our stable repository, including a new Kernel and bug fixes.

Release Notes

- pve-kernel-2.6.32-19 (2.6.32-93)

  • fix xfs high load bug
  • update to vzkernel-2.6.32-042stab075.2.src.rpm
  • bridge: enable igmp querier by default. We now have same behavior as we had with 2.6.32-89, but we can enable/disable it at runtime.
- pve-manager (2.3-13)

  • network config: allow empty IP address/netmask
- qemu-server_2.3-18_amd64.deb

  • add better checks to test if backup was successful
- libpve-common-perl_1.0-49_all.deb

  • bridge: copy bridge multicast settings

I have confirmed that there IS a bug in pve-kernel-2.6.32-19 (2.6.32-93) Infiniband drivers.
If you are using Infiniband, you will likely get random kernel panics when using pve-kernel-2.6.32-19 (2.6.32-93)

If you are not using Infiniband I suspect you will not suffer from this problem

Original Post:
I've had two severs lock up since installing these updates.
I am not prepared to blame the kernel just yet but thought I would share my experience to see if others have had similar issues or not.
It was a good test of fencing which worked flawless to auto-recover the locked up machines.

I have request vzdump check feature. Now i see this : add better checks to test if backup was successful

How this works ?

I update and run vzdump and man vzdump, no new key...

thanks a lot for all hard work.

hi all,
my vzdump on proxmox 2.1 does not running well, although dump progress keep running, it never finished. and dietmar suggest me to updating my proxmox with this reference :
http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Downloads#Update_a_running_Proxmox_Virtual_Environment_2.x_to_latest_2.3

my question is:

should i do update to 2.2 first or i can do update from 2.1 to 2.3 directly?

And one more thing,i do clustering to my proxmox. is it safe to Proxmox connected to this node if i do updating?

till now, i still worried something bad will happen to my another node if i updating my proxmox.

thanks

you can update directly to 2.3.

update all your nodes.
