Only if you keep insisting that you cannot work around this problem or do I interpret your sore-out-of-luck too depressingly? The other person with this problem setup WiFi and NAT on Proxmox to deal with this temporarily. There are plenty of (temporary) work-arounds, one of which you are already used.

EDIT: Some people here bought QLC SSDs to be used with ZFS and they were really sore once they found out that is was wasted money... You're not the only one and not the worst off.

Did you find a solution. I have the exact same issue with Realtek and unknown chip XID 6co, contact …
I see that there is a new driver for this Realtek, but I cannot install anything without Internet connection.
I guess I have to get the USB Ethernet dongle and try reinstalling proxmox.
