Hello to all,

I'm running px ve v. 3.1-26 on a Bare-Bone installation ( Intel Atom S1260: VT) and have 4 os's freebsd and openbsd running for the last last two months on development basis.

And now I'm unable to install or access OSs' through Win7 Enterprise laptop through proxmox VE Web server Console ( java console).
Problem: Access is not possible due to Certificate invalidity.
Needed solution: How to eradicate this invalid certificate or to install a new certicate on the Win 7 OS.

I have only this win 7 and FreeBSD ( PCBSD) Workstation which I don't have java on it.
Hope this info is enough to understand the error on console access problem.

I would appreciate for any kind of positive help to resolve this error.

Regards,

Sandy

the certificate is a signed by comodo. make sure you run latest version of proxmox ve, install latest java on your win 7 desktop.

if you still have issue, clear the brower cache, clear the java cache.

Also, Java7 by default has the security setting set to "High".

If you lower it to "Medium" you'll be able to use the Java Console again with no problem!

Best regards,
Joel.

Thanks a lot to tom and Joel!

I did:"If you lower it to "Medium" you'll be able to use the Java Console again with no problem!"
and it work for new installation of VMs but for older ones I gets this>@network error: remote side closed connection" message on the java console.
hier is the out put from console message>

What should I do to overcome this please?

thank a lot.

but java on proxmox node is UPTODATE!

this happend after updating the java SW.

I think this could arise again after many months of running aproxmox on a production basis, but who knows what is going to happen with oracles philosophy of "Open Source" ideas?

With this my intensive evaluation of this excelent product seems not for me as I such tinkering with java!
But definitely I would pursue it on private basis as long as I could.
nd last but not least,
A

hi,

first of all thanks to all!

After updating java and implementing all neccessary adjustments now I'm able to install VMs with the console; after testing for many days, it ( Console) still getts network closed message to older VMs!

I'm attching two images to have a better info on this issue.

Regards,

Sandy

PS.: Have no issues with CA Certificates etc. PVE is also uptodate!
