SDN / Ceph Private Network

Hello,

With the major SDN enhancements introduced in Proxmox 9.0, is it now recommended to use these built-in SDN features to separate Ceph network traffic, rather than relying on traditional VLANs configured through a switch or OPNsense?

Hello,

the HC Ceph doesn't utilize SDN, it works with basic Linux network interfaces/bridges. SDN is meant for usage with VM/CT.
Would you like to describe the setup, you have in mind?

Interesting! That's how I've always had it configured, but I did assumed SDN could also be a different way to configure it using VXLAN or Fabric

Why would you want to tunnel storage traffic through a tunnel like VXLAN?
