Hi,

After a big storm my two SSD RAID 1 crash (one dead ans one with too many bad sector) ... I'm not realy lucky ...

I have replace the both SSD and re install proxmox RAID 1.

My raid 5 is OK and after install mdadm all my VG/LV are ok and active.

My question : How I could retore my VM with the data of the existing LV ?

THank you in advance for your help!

I try to be more clear :

Before crash:
2 SSD raid 1 for the proxmox system
4 HDD 4to in raid 5 for the VM in one VG + lvm
1 HDD 1to in lvm for backup

1 NAS extern with 2x 4to in raid 1 for real backup

The crash corupt my 2 SSD . I have reinstal proxmox on two new SSD.

My raid 5 works and all my data in it my backup of the VM it's one day late to save enorme modification in my data .

I would like to create a VM with the data of the current LV it's possible ?
If I restore the backup of the VM i have see the data are on the external NAS and has only the data befor crash.

Possible to make a VM with the data of it's old data ? I dont know.

Thank you in advance (next time I dont work under storm ...)

Hi, The only solution I found to make it :

Create a VM / Modified the VM files conf to change the raw files . Delete the old raw files .
