QLogic NIC not working

Yes, I did. They do show up in lspci. One shows up as one port 40GbE NIC and the other shows up the same as it did before the flash but it stopped working under Windows and in Linux it throws that error in dmesg.
 
Thank you. Should I do it in Proxmox? Or CentOS, Ubuntu? I do not have access from the internet on that server, only from inside of network so SSH will not be possible. I will try on my own and I will report issues.
 
Hmm, do it with Proxmox as you want to use Proxmox in the end.

Personally I would try "make" in the drivers directory (which does both yes).

EDIT: I'm not sure the userspace library is used anywhere, though.

ANOTHER EDIT: In the makefile they check for "Ubuntu" for /lib64 install, i think you should change that to "Debian"
 
Do you mean in the first line? Without change, it will go to /lib64, because the UBUNTU_DISTRO will be empty. I am not sure if it should be placed in /lib or /lib64.

Building the driver doesn't work, it seems not 5.0 compatible. I tried to build the proxmox kernel here but it doesn't download.

I asked in the pve-devel Mailinglist for updates, once i have them I'll build a patched version of the kernel for you.

EDIT: When that works we can ask for an upstream patch.
EDIT2: Do you have ZFS? I could try to build in the meantime an Ubuntu Focal Kernel.
 
I guess I am missing something, the driver cannot be installed. DNF reports that nothing provides:

kernel(rdma_read_gid_l2_fields)

I am not used to dnf so this may be something trivial but I do not understand it.
 
BTW Marvell response:
