[TUTORIAL] Proxmox VE Installer on Debian 12 Bookworm

Dear Mathewalves,

thank you so much for your explanation. I went through the process successfully and when I start cmd, I got the following output:

Code:

But, when I try to open proxmox with my browser, it says, it is noch reachable. Wheter I do it from PC in the same network, or with the server itself.

I hope you or anybody else can help to solve that issue.

Kind regads, Volker
Hard to tell. The Proxmox installation on Debian isn't really designed for a desktop environment. I suspect there is some sort of firewall enabled that could be blocking port 8006, which is the port used by the web interface.

So I misunderstood that thread... cause I thought "... on Debian 12 Bookworm" means a desktop environment. I use LMDE6 at my Dell Server. Actually Virtualbox is in use for VM (Win7, Win11,...) and the performance is not as good as expected. That's why I wanted to try to build VM's with Proxmox.

Finally I figured out, the problem was the configuration in hosts.
