Proxmox VE 3.0 RC2 released!

Re: Another unresolved bug?!

When proxmox 3.0 final is there can it then be added to a Proxmox 2.x cluster or should the proxmox 2.x nodes be first upgrade to 3.x?
What I like to do is to install proxmox 3.0RC2 on a new machine run it, test things and then add it to the cluster when 3.0 is there and tested it ok!

Re: Another unresolved bug?!

I really hate ask this but is there an estimated release of the Proxmox VE 3.0 final? I'm planning for a new install and would rather do a clean install rather than 2.3 -> 3.0 upgrade.

Re: Another unresolved bug?!

for new installs, use the 3.0.

mixing is not a good idea, this should be avoided. test without joining to a 2.x cluster.

Re: Another unresolved bug?!

When use "aptitude update && aptitude full-upgrade" update PVE 3.0 rc2
update the pve-cluster pve-manager qemu-server,
I can't login from the WebGUI.

Re: Unable to delete pool! A bug?

1. On Proxmox 2.x if you tried to upload an ISO file with a space in the filename it would convert it to have "_" in it automatically. On Proxmox 3.0 it just gives an error and fails. If you plan to keep it this way it might be worth the error letting the user know the problem as it just says "Error 0 occurred while receiving the document." currently. I guessed it was most likely due to the spaces in the filename.

This will be fixed in pve-manager 3.0-19

Re: Unable to delete pool! A bug?

Installed v3rc2 and when trying to delete pool, it reports: "delete pool failed: Pool 'xxx' is not empty (500)" Eventhough all the resources (vm) inside the pool are already deleted. Reincarnation of the bug, discussed at http://forum.proxmox.com/archive/index.php/t-8622.html?! Manually deleting the lines in /etc/pve/user.cfg got it deleted. Thanks!

will be fixed in pve-manager 3.0-19

Re: 3.0 RC2 update cause WebGUI login problem ?!

I guess you need to delete you browser cache - does that help?
No,I even change use another computer's browser , same error.

Last time I solve this error by reboot PVE host,
This time I just want provide more hint, so no reboot until now.

Re: 3.0 RC2 update cause WebGUI login problem ?!

No,I even change use another computer's browser , same error.

And you connect to the correct port? (there are no redirects in 3.0)

please use "https://yourhostname:8006"

Re: 3.0 RC2 update cause WebGUI login problem ?!

Why is squid involved?

I thinks I find the reason.

In PVE host,I set env http_proxy to use proxy to update the system(aptitude update && ....)
Code:
 export http_proxy=http://theipaddr:8888/

The upgrade restart pveproxy, then pveproxy find the env "http_proxy",then the squid involved.
unset http_proxy, or reboot PVE, solve the problem.

The pveproxy should ignore env like "http_proxy".

Very strange,I can't reproduce the problem by set env http_proxy and then restart pveproxy.
Everything is OK now .

BTW:
Code:
service pveproxy restart

service pvedaemon restart
is the correct way to restart PVE serivces ?

I guess something cleared the cache on the squid proxy.
