Proxmox not starting from drive

OK...I started winscp to the ip the rescue cd is pulling, and am now able to cut and paste. Here is the info you asked for last. It looks like it can see two of the 'patitions' that we mounted from the lvm2.

Hi,
you forgot the chroot cammand!!

Does the dpkg command work after chroot?

Udo

so I don't worry about the mount loop commands that were giving errors and just enter the chroot command?

OK. I chroot'd as your command...now the dpkg gives more than i can type in...winscp won't terminal this.

What can I give you for info?

Hi,
that's looks not good - you have removed important packages!

Try to install again:
Code:
apt-get install proxmox-ve-2.6.32 pve-kernel-2.6.32-41-pve
after that it should look like this (or newer)
Code:
dpkg -l | grep pve

Hi,
you can try aptitude to install - perhaps it's more clever or reinstall all dependencies first (from the last back till proxmox-ve-2.6.32).

I have edit my last posting, so you see "all" pve packages.

The grub-packages are these:
Code:
dpkg -l | grep grub
ii grub-common 2.02~bpo70+6 amd64 GRand Unified Bootloader (common files)
ii grub-efi-amd64-bin 2.02~bpo70+6 amd64 GRand Unified Bootloader, version 2 (EFI-AMD64 binaries)
ii grub-efi-ia32-bin 2.02~bpo70+6 amd64 GRand Unified Bootloader, version 2 (EFI-IA32 binaries)
ii grub-pc 2.02~bpo70+6 amd64 GRand Unified Bootloader, version 2 (PC/BIOS version)
ii grub-pc-bin 2.02~bpo70+6 amd64 GRand Unified Bootloader, version 2 (PC/BIOS binaries)
ii grub2-common 2.02~bpo70+6 amd64 GRand Unified Bootloader (common files for version 2)
