I have a Ubuntu Server 18.04 trying to connect to the internet via bridged port on my router.
when I first installed the server using the normal setting for the VM, getting a Dynamic IP worked great, then when I use the configuration eno3 bridged to MBR01 as example no IP info entered and all the IP configuration entered on the server, I loose connection. Do I need to do any NIC configuration in the ProMox Shell.

any help would be great

Keith

Hi,

A vmbr does not need an IP address to work.
It works like a switch. the IP is for the management.

But static or dynamic has nothing to do with the Proxmox VE networking.
Maybe your IP address is already taken.

Humm Ok, IP is not duplicated anywhere, I'm going to a LUG meeting tomorrow, maybe someone there can help me trouble shoot issue

Thanks for replying
