Hi all,

Just a quick one,

I was just wondering how are resources allocated for backups? Is the whole host putting resources and throughput into running backup jobs or are the resources assigned to the VM backup only used?

I just ask because I can see the host overall putting no effort in at all over a month period for daily Full/Stop backups, but the VM itself seems to be hitting 50-70% CPU usage for these backups

No issues, just curiousity I guess!

Thanks!

hi,

i do not completely understand your question.

what exactly do you mean by that? where do you get the numbers?

vm backups run inside the qemu process, so maybe there is some confusions about how to account for the backup resources?
