Proxmox Backup server Migration

We have a running PBS with an almost full storage (5 Tb), so we purchased a new dedicated server with bigger storage size.

We are facing difficulties to understand how to move (migrate) data from the old to the new PBS server

We would like to migrate backup data for sure, best would be to migrate settings, too.

Both new and old PBS are dedicated servers in Hetzner with latest PBS version and ZFS storage

Thanks for the prompt answer;

So, you are suggesting that:

1. we setup the "new PBS" to be make a sync with the "old PBS" (the so called remote)
2. then we transform, somehow, the storage in the "new PBS" to be an ordinary storage for local backups?

Yes, running old and new PBS in parallel would be a good way to go, as you can continue using the old PBS server until everything has finished copying to the new server. Then you can change your clusters backups jobs to use the new PBS for new backups. When everything is then working, shutdown the old PBS and get rid of it.
