Hi,

I have a workstation with MSI TRX40 motherboad, which comes with a Dual SSD PCIE card to allow two SSDs on the card to split a PCIE x16 lane.
Quad card can also be purchased.

I was wondering how proxmox will see them when passing through nvme SSDs on the Dual or Quad card.
Will they behave the same as the nvme SSDs directly installed on the motherboard M.2 slots?

Thanks!

this depends probably on the splitter card, but most probably you would see them as separate devices

Thanks for the reply.
The motherboard handles the PCIE lane splitting (PCIE bifurcation), the drives appears in BIOS separate drives.
The Quad Card doesn't have controller chip on it.
