Clean browser cache and reload the page. I am not aware of any issue with the latest packages, so a browser/caching issue in your local desktop could be the problem.

I am running latest pve-nosubscription with PVE 5.1-41, and no problems with Firefox or Chrome on Windows 10.
There's a little bug with MS Edge where it doesn't show upload % when transferring an ISO file, but other than that, it works fine.
Are you running the web browser thru a proxy?

can you open the javascript console in the novnc window an post any messages that might pop up?
also is anything relevant in the syslog when such a disconnect occurs?

its crazy. i had the problem for a couple of days. also i rebooted the machine many times.
in the meantime its back again working!!!
this points to some issue outside of pve, i would suggest to check your client(s) and/or network(s)

Dear @dcsapak, proxmox still has problem with noVNC when use nginx as a proxy. I have tested it in Proxmox 5.1-36, 5.1-4x
