I recently discovered that a lot of people around me are using nfs instead of iscsi on a PVE platform. The main reason for it seems that it’s easier to backup an nfs-based solution thaan an iscsi one, since on The remote disk everything is a file. Is this a general trend?

What would bring iscsi+lvm on top (i can’t have iscsi+zfs). How would perform an nfs solution+LACP vs multipath iscsi solution? How do you manage backups with an iscsi based solution? I’m interested by any feedback :)
