NFS error 500

Hi there.

Running cat /etc/pve/storage.cfg
Output:

dir: local
path /var/lib/vz
content images,iso,vztmpl,backup,rootdir
maxfiles 25

nfs: Backup
path /mnt/pve/Backup
server XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
export /home/node2
options vers=3,nolock
content backup
maxfiles 10

I checked from a other server, accessed it fine.

This error only happends on both servers that is installed via the ISO from proxmoxs website (3.4)

Adding them via WebUI gives an error. Trying to just monut the drive via terminal gives error after a while
"Connection timed out.."

This is not a host error, but a client issue.

On client (Proxmox) It looks like:

Update: I updated to 3.4-15 instead of 3.1-21. Same outcome

looks like an issue on your NFS server. check export and permissions on your NFS server.

Thanks for your reply.

I have exactly checked this out.

I changed the IP from the node with issues to a other one (Not installed on bare metal). Worked just fine.

Now that I run the IP back to the node with issues, it still has the same issues. How can this be a server issue?

Okay. So simply said:

I setup a KVM with CentOS. Redid everything and fun fact:

The node could connect.
However, the second node with errors cannot connect to it. At all.

How come?

(This is just a test scenario, I would not run a nfs server inside a container)

A server on the same network cannot connect to it. But proxmox master of the KVM can. How come?

There's no firewall rules etc inbetween.
