Missing .conf files from old installation

Hello all,

I've recently (as in 2 days ago) switched motherboards since my last one seems to have been destroying HDDs. I had a perfectly working Proxmox 7 installation with a desktop and everything. Now, that installation won't boot on my new motherboard (it gets stuck at "Loading initial ramdisk..." part). After multiple attempts at a resolution I decided to clone my boot drive to another SSD and install the new proxmox 8 on the current one. That all worked and I was able to mount the /dev/pve-OLD-xxxx/root partition normally. I wanted to copy over all the configurations for lxcs and VMs (I don't have backups of all of them) to the new installation to save me a lot of pain. However, when I go to /mnt/old/etc/pve/ the folder is empty... Where the hell are all those configs?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

Yes, I remember reading something about them bein virtual files. I just thought they were really located elsewhere.

Luckily, I had a script backup my entier etc folder every 12 hours so I should be good.
