Hello All,
anyone has already done a VM migration between two Proxmox Cluster that using Ceph as storage?.

I explain better, two proxmox cluster:
  • one proxmox cluster with ceph inside as storage
  • second proxmox cluster with ceph inside as storage
Networking speaking, the cluster ceph is on same net, (public and private). Which commands i need to follow? I've read something like "rbd migration... "but don't understand very well.

Thanks

Just to understand it better, you have 2 different PVE clusters, both with hyperconverged Ceph?
And you want to migrate a VM from one cluster to the other?

Please provide the output of pveversion -v for both clusters.

Hello,
yes, i've two different clusters with ceph in Hyperconverged mode, and i want to know if it's possible to migrate or eventually mirroring, images from one to other.

I cannot provide "pveversion -v" in this moment, but i can tell you that, we've done the last updates last week, so last version of Proxmox 7 and of Ceph Pacific.

Thanks in advance

Direct migration is currently not possible. You could create a backup, move it to the other cluster and restore the VM from backup there.
This comes with a downtime of course.
