I'm on Proxmox 6

I have images based on Debian 10, yesterday I stopped one and it never restarted:

Code:
Job for pve-container@100.service failed because the control process exited with error code.
See "systemctl status pve-container@100.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
TASK ERROR: command 'systemctl start pve-container@100' failed: exit code 1

I updated my Proxmox (without restarting), but not better.

Here's what I found.

I create my container with the Debian 10 template, turn it on, connect, turn it off and restart it without any problem.
On the other hand, if I turn it on, I connect, I do an 'apt update' and then a 'apt dist-upgrade', so if I turn it off, I can no longer turn it on again.

I tested with Ubuntu 18.04, I have no problem. With Debian 9, the same, no problem.

Thank you for your help!

hi,

it is indeed related to the thread @Chris mentioned.

problem lies here:
Code:
lxc-start 102 20191004135907.288 DEBUG conf - conf.c:run_buffer:326 - Script exec /usr/share/lxc/hooks/lxc-pve-prestart-hook 102 lxc pre-start with output: unsupported debian version '10.1'

this has already been fixed, you just need to upgrade your packages on the PVE nodes (apt update && apt full-upgrade) and then it should work.

Do i need a reboot ? Because :

Please make sure you correctly set up the no-subscription repository. Have a look at the documentation on how to do that https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#sysadmin_package_repositories
A reboot should not be necessary for most of the updates, except for such as e.g. kernel updates.

Thanks @Chris and @oguz for your help.

I'm a little french college and i can't buy support for ProxMox but i appreciate your help. It solved my problem.
