Lost data restoring CT backup, trying to recover. Please help.

Took a backup of a container in PVE, changed a few configs on the original but they didn't work out.
Did a restore from the backup which only restored the system vdisk, but erased the mounted data vdisk. Apparently the backup process didn't backup the /data mount.
The system vdisk was mounted / and the data vdisk was mounted /data, both were separate sub volumes on the main ZFS pool which I have in 1+1 raid mirror.

I'm now trying to recover the contents of the /data that the restore erased.

What are my options? Any help appreciated.

Hopefully youbhave a snapshot available. You could rollback or mount the snapshot and vopy the files over

The restore did a 'zfs destroy -r' and all my snapshots got deleted.

Does "zpool import -D" list the destroyed pool ?

The pool is fine. Pool status is all good. But the sub-volume was destroyed.
