Issue Connecting to Proxmox via Azure VPN

Hi, I have an issue with network configuration on my Proxmox server.

I really want to have remote access to the configuration panel, the NAS server, Homebridge and VM hosted on the server.

The problem is my Internet provider, who won't provide me with a public IP address. I don't have a static or dynamic one. My "external" IP address is their NAT address.

To work around this, I configured a P2C connection on Microsoft Azure cloud.

I connected to Azure VPN from a computer on a different network and a VM hosted on the Proxmox server.

Both devices can ping each other via Azure VPN, but I still don’t know how to connect to Proxmox.

Summary:

  • I can ping the VM Host.
  • The VM Host can ping Proxmox.
  • I can’t directly ping Proxmox.
Therefore, I want to connect to Proxmox via the VM Host, but I don’t know how to do it.

Can you help me?

you can make a netsh portproxy if VM is Windows or a socat if VM is Linux.
