Hi to all
just want to write it down, because it took my lots of time.I am trying to create a cluster with iscsi disks and lvm to test the cluster capabilities.
My environment is cascaded,i mean .I have a Hp server with 3tb of disk and lots of memory. I installed Proxmox as Operating system and then inside that i had installed 3 proxmox servers ,and created a cluster with them.
And also installed an NAS server (openmediavaut) for ISCSI target.
i can attach the ISCSI disk to all cluster members from the Proxmox GUI ,and then created an LVM device with shared options .But somehow only the first proxmox server can actively work with the LVM disk.
i checked with lsblk ,i can see the iscsi disk is seen from all cluster members but with command "pvesm scan lvm " cannot see the lvm disk on other cluster members.
I rebooted ,didnt changed
i had created another NAS device (OPenNAs ) with new ISCSI disk settings .it didint worked
after lots of tries,i remembered that, all of my virtual proxmox servers are cloned from the first vm.That was the problem.
I created a new virtual proxmox server, added to the cluster and then ,i can see the iscsi disk and Lvm device.
so , be carefull with your experiments.
regards
