I cant get windows to install.

I have tried any number of configuration options in proxmox and reset the bios and disabled cstates on the host but it just won't install.

Every time the installer boots it flashes a bluescreen with a fairly random error. one of the most common of which is system thread exception not handled.

I was able to install and use manjaro just fine on the same system with the same configuration.

It is a hp dl380 g5.

The system is using an iso stored over nfs on a FreeNAS system.

What version of windows? Are you using the VirtIO drivers? Do you have them available in a mount at boot time for install?

It is windows 10 pro I have tried it with and without virtio scsi controller.

I have found if when I set up the vm if I select the os to other it works fine.

Does it make any difference to the performance of the vm?
