Been bashing away at this for ~4 weeks so hitting up the forum for help....

Objective:
Enable GPUpassthrough on server for use in Blender home render farm.

Server;
R710
24 core
72 GB RAM
2TB SSD total
GPU GT 730 2GB (slim)
Proxmox 8.1.3

VM of interest:

Info:
System has been running VMs fine for about 12 months and am having difficulty with the final stage of a GPU passthrough.

As can be seen in 'VM1', the GPU is available in VM's Device Manager however upon running Blender, the system 'spits the dummy' claiming need for OpenGL 4.3 or higher (GT 730 is OpenGL 4.4).

GPU as primary setting:
If I edit settings for VM to make PCI Device as 'GPU primary', vnc fails to connect / start.

Forum request:
Pls provide any thoughts on how to enable GPU passthrough fully?

Did you guys have anything for Display or was it set to None? My Quadro m4000 installed fine but OpenGL wasn't found by an app I installed.
I guess I need to set Display to None to force it to use the GPU but then my remote tool (ScreenConnect) just has a black screen.
MSFT Basic Display Driver (e.g. VGA) or RedHat driver (VirtioGPU) work well with ScreenConnect but then don't make use of the gpu for OpenGL.
Either use RDP (much more involved networking-wise) or use a dummy plug which I have headed my way in the mail.
Hope it works.

My black screen issue was the GPU not posting without a dummy plug. RDP works for ScreenConnect won't.
