I noticed that my server seemed to be down, but none of the telltale signs that something was wrong. After going into idrac virtual console, the screen was filled with the same message:
Code:
[17644.301496] igb 0000:01:00.0 eno1: Reset Adapter
When I use lspci -v | grep Ethernet I see that I have 4 Intel I350 Gigabit Network Connections, coinciding with the 4 ethernet ports on my Dell Poweredge R720. I tried rebooting, but to no avail. I also tried a possible fix from this thread post, but it didn't change anything. I am at a loss, haven't had any issues like this for the past several years, and haven't had any hardware changes in the past several months.

I decided to restart my Unifi Dream Machine Pro and that seemed to fix the problem. The network adapter would link, and then reset immediately afterwards.
