Hi, I have two Proxmox hosts running in a homeblab setting. I know that with Proxmox Backup Server you can enable encryption, but Proxmox VE doesn't come with encryption out of the box.
My goal is to do an encrypted offsite backup in case something catastrophic happens (like fire), preferably to a S3 bucket as target because I'd like to avoid paying compute for a Proxmox Backup Server in the "cloud", which would be the best solution imo.
I think I would be able to do this via scripts and tools like rclone or duplicati, but I was wondering if there is an open source solution that does exactly that. I want to avoid running backup tools on the hosted VMs directly as best as I can.
If there is no such tool, maybe one of you already thought more about this and has a reliable solution.
