Hi I've installed the latest proxmox version 7 .. and in the process of making sure everything is updated, I'm running into this error

I've been googling a for while but no luck. I think it's trying to build the latest kernel but failing because of a dependency? I don't see any other errors. Where should I look next? All help gratefully appreciated'

This is where the error seems to stem from

Code:
Package pve-kernel-5.11.22-4-pve is not configured yet.

seems like there is an issue with the vfat filesystem on your esp-partition

-> try running `fsck.vfat /dev/disk/by-uuid/33B0-9CC9`

I hope this helps!

Hi,
one more thing to be aware of: Use apt full-upgrade rather than apt upgrade, as the latter never removes any packages, even if that's required for a proper upgrade of the system as a whole. But most likely not related to the error you got.

Thanks for all the responses.. I updated the sources file so they were all bullseye .. then a slightly different outcome .. what now?

ok I think I am good (after a reboot or 2 .. )
glad that worked out - did you run a fsck.vfat on the disk before rebooting?
(asking in case this is not fixed by that...)

else - please mark the thread as 'SOLVED' - that helps others with similar questions finding the correct answers

Thanks!
